Friends of Princeton Charter School (“Friends”) is a 501c (3) non-profit corporation, established in 1997. It is a Parent Teacher Organization (“PTO”) dedicated to support the charitable purposes of enriching the educational outcomes of the children enrolled in Princeton Charter School (“PCS”). Each year Friends establishes a budget based upon our student and school needs both with regularly recurring programs as well as with any special priority needs not currently supported in standard school funding.

Funds raised by Friends have been utilized wholly or in part to:

  • Fund and/or subsidize the existing after-school programs, including sports, science, music, chess, and art clubs.
  • Purchase Chromebooks, tablets, and smart board interactive displays, to enable technology for all grades.
  • Fund critical priority needs for teachers and administration.
  • Fund special guest visits, school picnics, student field days, and student class trips.
  • Fund outdoor play areas and student enrichment.
  • Purchase classroom supplemental materials.
  • Provide teacher training grants.
  • Provide support for economically disadvantaged families.

Our entire parent community contributes to Friends through both their volunteer hours as well as the fundraising activities that go on year long. These programs are crucial to our school experience and the educational outcomes for your children. Your contributions through donations and volunteerism is critical to our school and its continued award winning reputation.  Any questions about Friends, donation and volunteering opportunities, please contact president@pcsfriends.org.
