Hike along Princeton's Stony Brook Trail
30 Students (4th-6th graders)
Saturday, 5/15/2021, 9:00am-10:45am
Join Mr. Burt, Mrs. Ritter, and Mrs. Trenholm on a marvelous hike along Princeton’s own Stony Brook Trail. Starting at Greenway Meadows Park, this leisurely walk through the woods allows time for getting our feet wet in the brook where we can find interesting rocks, tiny fish, and other natural creatures. Students will also have an opportunity to identify the many wonderful plants and trees along the trail. The turn around point includes a bridge that is perfect for stick boat races and bird watching. The hike is suitable for all hiking levels and is a great chance to hangout with friends and get a little exercise. Upon return, light refreshments will be served. All that is required are comfortable walking shoes and a smile.
MEETING POINT: At the top of the hill near the parking lot. Students and parents will easily see us as they arrive.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We need the students to come with comfortable shoes (sneakers). There will be the opportunity to get our feet wet. Because of the rocks, participants might want comfortable sneakers that they can also get wet. And of course, all the students need to bring a mask.
